EXPLO3 Collaborative Installation
Presented as part of the Sarria Biennale (Galicia, Spain)
in partnership with Ateliers d'Art Contemporain (AAC).
Located at kilometer 111 of the Way of Saint James, the Galician town of Sarria stands out as a vital stop along the pilgrimage route. Since its inception, the Sarria Biennale has fostered a unifying dynamic, affirming this territory as a crossroads for encounters and creation for the community of international artists gathered within the Ateliers d'Art Contemporain (AAC).
It is within this territorial and symbolic continuity that the EXPLO3 project unfolds its installation. After treading the Carolingian Way, the project naturally takes to the Camino de Santiago, extending a living cartography across these major routes that have historically structured the European continent. By connecting the memory of place with contemporary creation, the work turns the path of pilgrimage into a space for collective and itinerant experimentation.
